The Chile Pepper and Mr. G's will be closing at 3pm on Saturday, July 4th! We will resume normal hours Sunday, July 5th from 8am to 8pm. Wishing everyone a BuRRiToFuL 4th!

70th Anniversary cancelled
It is with great sadness that the Gutierrez Family announces the death of Anna Marie Cano , oldest daughter of Juan & Bessie Gutierrez. With heavy hearts we have decided to postpone our 70th year anniversary celebration on Saturday, October 12th.

In honor of our family members who have passed, we will have an ofrenda (alter) at our Chile Pepper location open to anyone. We invite you to come honor and remember your loved ones who have passed on. The ofrenda will be up beginning Saturday, October 12th-November 2nd in celebration of Dia de los Muertos.

The Chile Pepper
In 1954 Juan & Bessie Gutierrez started their first restaurant, The Chile Pepper, on First Street in Yuma, Arizona. That began the tradition of serving their customers reasonably priced food, using high quality ingredients, made fresh daily.
Mr G's
In 1963 they were ready to expand and purchased the old Taco Lita Drive-In on Fourth Avenue & 5th Street and renamed it Mr. G Drive-In. That building's life ended in 2008 when a new Mr. G Drive-In replaced it at the same location.
Chile Pepper coming to Foothills!
The Chile Pepper-Foothills
We're excited to open a Chile Pepper in Fortuna Foothills! Currently we are in the early stages of planning our restaurant in The Foothills. It will be located on South Fortuna Rd between Dollar General and First Yuma Bank. Meantime... we will park our Chile Pepper/Mr. G's mobile trailer on our land and offer our delicious Mexican food to the residents of The Foothills area! Menu will be limited, but we'll offer all of our classics! Stay tuned for details...
